Accreditation of Rating Agency of (Cambodia) Plc. (“RAC”)

The Securities and Exchange Regulator of Cambodia (SERC) granted the “Accreditation of Credit Rating Agency” to the Rating Agency of (Cambodia) Plc. on 12th July 2022, which serves as an important milestone for spurring the development of Cambodia’s nascent capital market by elevating local and foreign investors’ confidence.

Bond rating will enhance the liquidity and depth of the bond market, by improving the quality of available information, increasing the participation of investors as they will have more options to achieve their investment objectives, and also encouraging companies to issue more bonds which enables them to diversify their source of funds, accelerate investment, and employment to the benefit of Cambodia’s economy.
